Privacy Policy for Group-O-Mat (English)

In short: Group-O-Mat has no server of its own, no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, the data is stored in your own iCloud with personal fields end-to-end encrypted. The developer never has access to your data. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting libraries.
What the app processes: lists of people with name, presence, gender, strength, subgroup and oppose-group, a free-text trait, an optional small photo or emoji and draw counters; rules; saved events with team assignments, notes, tournament results and rotating duties; custom themes (optionally with a background photo and sounds); your settings. The app does not ask for birth dates, addresses, contact details or grades and does not access contacts, calendar, location or other apps.
Where it is stored: on the device, in the app's protected container (included in the device's iCloud or computer backup like any app), plus up to ten automatic local safety copies that are excluded from device backups and remain until you delete them or remove the app. Widgets keep a small copy of present names and the last saved teams in the shared protected container of app and widget on the same device; the lock-screen widget shows only list and team names, and person names are hidden while the device is locked. With iCloud sync enabled, data goes to the private database of your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit); names, titles, notes, team members, traits, photos, tournament and duty plans and custom theme definitions are end-to-end encrypted; gender, strength, presence, group numbers, weights and draw counters are stored as bare numbers under Apple's standard iCloud encryption; theme photos and sounds are stored as files in your iCloud. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud storage.
Permissions: camera only to photograph a class list or take a profile photo (text recognition runs on-device); microphone only to record theme sounds; photo library (add only) to save a team picture; background notifications only for silent iCloud change notifications.
Sharing: data leaves the app only when you trigger it, via the system share sheet, a backup or theme export, or AirPlay/HDMI presentation.
Ratings: the help screen links to the App Store page, and the app may ask for a rating through Apple's system prompt at most once per version. No app data is sent.
Deletion: delete people, lists and events in the app; "Delete iCloud data" removes everything from your iCloud; removing the app deletes all local data including safety copies and the widget copy.
Schools: pupil names are personal data. Group-O-Mat processes them only locally or in the teacher's own iCloud; no processing by the developer takes place, so no data processing agreement with the developer is required. Whether pupil data may be kept on personal devices or in iCloud follows the rules of your state and school; iCloud sync is therefore off by default.
Your rights: since the developer receives no personal data, access, rectification and erasure happen directly in the app. Contact the controller above with questions; you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
